Resumo
A pesquisa é fruto de uma investigação que procura proporcionar e aperfeiçoar aos Alunos da 10ª Classe das Escolas do I e II do Ensino Secundário de Angola (Liceu) novas habilidades na resolução de equações do 2.º grau a uma incógnita. Seu desenvolver, demonstra um resgate histórico em busca da evolução das equações do 2.º grau que abarca diferentes períodos do desenvolvimento da matemática, ocorrido em diversas civilizações, os matemáticos que contribuíram na solução desse tipo de equação através de diferentes métodos, focalizando as contribuições dos matemáticos egípcios, babilónios, gregos, hindus, árabes e europeus por meio de bibliografias especializadas. Pretendemos que o conteúdo em questão, bem como os demais, sejam explorados em um contexto histórico mais abrangente. Actualmente o ensino sobreresoluções de equações do 2.º grau em angola tem-se restringido praticamente à apresentação da fórmula resolvente, relações entre coeficientes e suas raízes. O foco da pesquisa é o processo de ensino e aprendizagem da matemática no 2.º Ciclo do ensino secundário nacional, com o objectivo de diversificar as ferramentas por meio da história da matemática e diminuir o leque de dificuldades que persistem na resolução das equações do 2.º grau. Sua execução foi possível através dos métodos Teóricos, Observacional, Comparativo e o Estatístico, todavia, observamos que o estudo nesta perspectiva poderá contribuir para melhoria do ensino e aprendizagem da matemática no país.Após pesquisa, apontamos como possibilidades para resolução das equações do 2º grau: O Método de Viète, de Substituição e o Diferencial ou de Coordenadas de Vértice. O que apresenta de novidade em conteúdo com o foco de abrir/ ampliar o leque do conhecimento na área.As hipóteses foram confirmadas à partir do momento em que foi trazido para a amostragem outras possibilidades para resolução das equações do 2º grau. A pesquisa tem interesses inovadores e espera-se alcançar bons resultados.

ABSTRACT
The research is the result of an investigation that seeks to provide and perfect the students of the 10th class of Schools of the I and II of secondary education of Angola (high school) new skills in solving equations of the 2nd degree to an unknown. Its development, demonstrates a historical rescue in search of the evolution of the 2nd degree equations that encompasses different periods of mathematical development, which occurred in different civilizations, the mathematicians who contributed to the solution of this type of equation through different methods, focusing on the contributions Egyptian, Babylonian, Greeks, Hindu, Arab and European mathematicians through specialized bibliographies. We intend that content in question, as well as the others, be explored in a broader historical context. Currently, teaching about solving high school equations in Angola has been restricted to the presentation of the resolving formula, relations between coefficients and its roots. The focus of the research is the process of teaching and learning mathematics in the 2nd cycle of national secondary education, with the aim of diversifying the tools through the history of mathematics and reducing the range of difficulties that persist in solving the equations of 2nd degree. Its execution was possible through theorical, observational, comparativeand Statistical methods, however, we observed that the study in this perspective may contribute to improve the teaching and learning of mathematics in the country. After research, we pointed out as possibilities for solving the 2nd degree equations: the Viète method, substitution and differential or vertex coordinates. What is new in content with a focus on opening/expanding the range of knowledge in the area. The hypotheses were confirmed from the moment when other possibilities for solving the 2nd degree equations were brought to the sampling. The research has innovative interests and is expected to achieve good results.
